Search Results...

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting lately, I've just been caught up with some bad luck :/. I wanted to to talk about my results in searching about Dance classes in our local area. Certain words like dance, dance academy, dance school, dance lessons and other things like that gave me the best results. I used my judgement to narrow my results according to things like, is it here in town? Is there a number to call? Are there any pictures of dancing? is there a calender of events? This was very helpful in finding a reliable source about a dance school. I learned that there aren't many well known dance schools locally aside from classes at AC or at WT. For the best dance schools you have to go to bigger cities that have more of an "Artsy Culture" like Dallas, New York, L.A etc. I hope this information will help anyone who is thinking about joining a dance school or just attending some classes for fun!

Dancing is an art form

Expression Through Dance

Dancing, in a way, is like trying on new clothes. It gives you a new way to express yourself and gives people a new way of seeing you. Dancing is a great way to forget about any adversity in your life for a moment and just let your mind run wild. Why don't we have dance is every elementary school? Or every middle school? Giving students a place to dance would help keep them out of trouble and connect with other kids who have the same passion to dance. If would also give students who weren't sure of their dancing abilities a chance to branch out and see if dancing is something they would like to pick up. For all the feelings we get and emotions we have, that we just don't have words to explain with, we use Dance to express. Every movement connects with each other and begins to tell a story that comes form the mind, body, and soul. Why not have a local Dance studio that is open to the neighborhood and community? Building a town community around a dance studio could help keep kids off of the street. If would give kids an outlet to turn too when things were going bad at home or if kids just wanted a place to hangout with their friends without being influenced to do drugs or drink alcohol. Not only would it bring the kids together, but even the parents of those kids. Parents could get to know each other and become great neighbors within the community and start strengthening the city. There are all kinds of dancing such as break dancing, new style, jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and many other forms. Try them all out and see witch ones work for you. Start thinking like a dancer and express yourself through your movements. Dance with your friends and family and watch how your relationship grows. See how fun it is to express yourself through Dance!
